Assistant Pastor

Chris Lawrence has served as Assistant Pastor at Pentecostals of the Gulf Coast since 2019. He and his wife, Angel, have two adult children, Landon and Anna, daughter-in-law Blakli, son-in-law Justin, and four grandchildren, Emmy, Loxley, Ellington, and Britain. Chris has a B.A. degree in Speech Communication, a M.S. degree in Workforce Training and Development, and is currently pursuing his doctorate degree in Human Capital Development. He is employed at Ingalls Shipbuilding.

 

Chris has been at PGC since 1994 and has served in various roles including youth pastor, Sunday school teacher, youth choir director, youth sports director, worship pastor, and assistant choir director. He authored the Blood, Water, and Spirit Bible Study and teaches the Search for Truth 2 Bible Study. He has led worship and sang at UPCI General Conference, Mississippi District Camp Meeting, Apostolic Health Care General Conference, and Men’s District Conference. Chris has been in ministry for more than forty years and believes that 95% of people have good intentions 95% of the time. He encourages others to never assume the worst, and to always give people the benefit of the doubt.
